James N. Bassil, Partner
Jim has been an important part of the executive placement industry in the Tampa Bay area since 1986. First, as Director of Recruiting for a Big 4 Public Accounting firm, and next with a Tampa based national search organization. Through these opportunities, Jim has perfected his skills in the placement of top accounting and financial professionals. His numerous placements make him a unique center of influence among the area's financial community. In 1991, Jim began his own highly successful executive placement firm, working with the finest companies throughout Florida, and the Southeast. In 2001 he merged this practice to form Taylor White. Jim has been an Auditor with a Big 4 firm and an Internal Auditor with a Fortune 500 Company. He is a graduate of Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida and is a Florida CPA, currently inactive.
Anthony Linguanti, Jr., Partner
Tony began his career in the executive placement industry in Tampa in 1990. While associated with an international recruiting firm specializing in the temporary and permanent placement of accounting and financial professionals, Tony was responsible for managing many important facets of this multi-billion dollar firm's operations. In addition to interfacing with the company's many high profile Florida clients, he also oversaw the successful implementation of several satellite offices throughout the growing Tampa Bay region. In 2000, Tony launched his own very successful executive placement firm in Sarasota. He later merged this organization to form Taylor White in 2001. Tony has been an Auditor in Public Accounting and a Controller for two top Tampa Bay companies. Tony is a graduate of Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida.
Mary Kavanshansky, Branch Manager - Brandon/Lakeland
Mary began her career as an Auditor with a Big 4 Assurance practice in Akron, Ohio. During her career in public accounting, Mary's client base included several Fortune-500 publicly traded companies, where she gained expertise in the banking, manufacturing and services industries. After public accounting, Mary joined a $3.2 billion Fortune 500 transportation company where she held a variety of positions in internal audit, accounting, finance and treasury. Mary left the company as Director of Finance and began her career with Taylor White in July, 2004 where she searches for the top accounting and financial talent for numerous clients in the Tampa Bay area. Mary earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Akron and is actively licensed as a CPA. She is also licensed as a Certified Treasury Professional.
Mac began his career in the executive placement industry after five years of outside sales in the manufacturing and broadcast media industries. In 1999, he joined the Greensboro, NC office of an international executive placement agency for accounting and finance professionals. Since joining Taylor White in July 2002, he has been successful in placing financial professionals from Staff Accountants to CFOs across a wide range of industries including healthcare, manufacturing, financial services and retail. Mac brings a dedication to superior customer service for both his clients and candidates. His hard work and dedication earned him his current role as Branch Manager of the Bradenton/Sarasota Office. He is an active member of the Economic Development Corporation of Sarasota, a founding member of the Suncoast Financial Executives’ Forum and a Board of Trustee for the Mid-Florida Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Mac is a graduate of the Kenan-Flagler Business School at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
Heather Ceresoli - Division Director - Consulting - Tampa/St. Pete
Heather started her career in Big 4 as an Auditor here in Tampa. During her 7 year tenure, her clients included both public and private companies, with expertise in a number of industry segments including manufacturing, high technology, retail, restaurant, automotive, real estate and distribution. She then transitioned into a financial management role with a local $1billion+ publicly traded company with focus on commercial finance, financial systems innvovation, process improvement and project management. She joined the permanent placement division of Taylor White in August 2006, where she was able to apply her knowledge of the local marketplace to effectively build relationships and match the best candidates with the top companies here in Tampa Bay. She recently transitioned into the Division Director role for Taylor White Consulting here in the Tampa/St. Petersburg market, where her focus now centers around interim and special project consultative placement and Sarbanes Oxley services.
Heather earned a Masters of Science degree in both Accounting and Management Information Systems from the University of South Florida in Tampa, and is an actively licensed CPA in the State of Florida. She remains committed to the local community, with Board of Director level positions within both Goodwill Industries Suncoast and the Tampa Branch of the All Children's Hospital Guild.
Robert A. Pastorius, Division Director - Permanent - Tampa/St. Pete
Bobby began his career as an Auditor with a Big 4 Assurance practice in Tampa. During his 4 year career in public accounting, Bobby's client base included several Fortune-500 publicly traded companies, with expertise in the retail, distribution, utility, and restaurant industries. Following his career in public accounting, Bobby further accented his experience in the accounting field as the Accounting Manager of a large privately held company in Tampa Bay. Since joining Taylor White in July 2003, Bobby has drawn upon experiences in public and private accounting and his strong ties to the local community to provide unparalleled service to both his clients and candidates. Bobby earned both his Bachelor of Science and Masters degrees from the University of Florida Fisher School of Accounting in Gainesville, Florida, and is an active member of the Tampa Bay Gator Club. Additionally, Bobby is actively licensed as a CPA in the State of Florida.
Barbara Joyce
Barbara began her career in the Audit practice of a BIG 4 firm in Parsippany, New Jersey. She transferred to their Tampa office in 1993. Her clients consisted of both publicly and privately held corporations in the utility, manufacturing, real estate and advertising industries, as well as some not-for profit entities. Outside of public accounting, Barbara has worked in the car rental, retail and publishing industries, holding the roles of Accounting Manager, Manager of Budgeting and Financial Planning, Business Manager and Controller/VP of Finance. Among her accomplishments over the course of her employment she has lead a successful financial system implementation, participated in numerous process improvement endeavors, reduced tax audit assessments, consolidated foreign subsidiaries and acted as a business advisor to strategic business units. Barbara joined Taylor White in 2006 where she seeks to match qualified, talented consultants with outstanding finance and accounting opportunities. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Seton Hall University and holds an inactive CPA license in New Jersey.
Patty Moffitt
Patty began her career as an Auditor with a Regional Firm in Tampa, FL. During her career in public accounting, Patty’s client base consisted of publicly and privately held corporations where she gained expertise in the banking, manufacturing and service industries. After four years in public accounting, she returned to Sarasota and transitioned into private industry where she worked at senior levels for publicly traded companies in the US and UK. Her experience at these companies included all aspects of financial reporting, software implementation, Sarbanes Oxley, process improvement, IPO and strategic planning. Patty joined Taylor White in 2007 as a Recruiting Manager for the Consulting Division in our Sarasota/Bradenton office. Her experience in the accounting/finance industry allows her to match qualified, talented consultants with local finance and accounting opportunities. Patty earned her Bachelor and Masters of Science degree in Accounting from the University of Florida in Gainesville. She is a Florida CPA, currently inactive. Patty is a member of the FICPA Gulf Coast Chapter and UF Alumni Association. She is a graduate of Leadership Sarasota and holds Board of Director positions with local not for profits.
Alison Newman
Alison began her career in Tampa with a Big 4 firm in the audit practice as a staff accountant and was promoted up to senior manager. During her 10 years in public accounting, she worked on both public and private companies in various industries including manufacturing, retail, real estate, and banking. She was a lead recruiter in the Tampa office and co-coordinated the recruiting program at USF. Alison earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration in Accounting from Washington University and a Masters of Accountancy from the University of South Florida. She is actively licensed as a CPA in Florida.
Kim O'Brien
Kim began her career as an Auditor and worked in public accounting for 8 years in local, regional and national firms. Her focus included both public and private companies, with industry expertise encompassing healthcare, manufacturing, agribusiness, telecommunications, retail, automotive, restaurant, and not-for-profit sectors. Kim transitioned out of public as an Audit Manager to accept the role of CFO for a large not-for-profit healthcare organization. During her three year tenure, she focused on developing strategic internal management reporting, implementing & updating financial policies and internal controls, implementing systems, and instituting a 401(k) plan. As a result of her efforts, she was recognized as 2008’s CFO of the Year in the Not-for-Profit category by the Tampa Bay Business Journal. Joining Taylor White Consulting in 2008, her experience enables her to work within many industries and match competent, experienced consultants suitable to her clients’ needs.
Kim received her Bachelor of Science Degree and fifth year requirements from the University of South Florida in December 1995, and is a licensed CPA in the State of Florida. She is proud to be a lifetime member of the USF Alumni Association, as well as current Chair of the USF Accounting Circle Board and a member of the USF School of Accountancy’s Advisory Council. She also volunteers on Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tampa Bay’s Board of Directors and previously served on the Executive Committee as Treasurer. Kim is a graduate of Leadership Tampa, Class of 2007.
Jim Roberts
Jim has been a proven Taylor White Consultant for a number of years and has joined us on a full time basis effective August, 2006. His expertise is in the following disciplines: all facets of Accounting and Finance, Strategic Planning, SEC reporting and transactions, External Audit matters, Internal Controls, International Finance and Accounting, ERP Systems and Implementations, and Sarbanes Oxley implementations, including evaluation of entity level controls. He is experienced in Director of Finance/CFO roles in publicly traded organizations and has diversified industry experience including biotechnology, manufacturing, software and telecommunications. Jim has performed Sarbanes Oxley consulting work for a variety of organizations and has served as Project Manager for a publicly traded services organizations. He was a former Big-4 Audit Manager, and is an actively licensed Florida CPA. Jim holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting from Florida State University and an MBA in Finance from Emory University.
Lourdes Vega
Lourdes began her career as an Auditor with a Big 4 firm in Tampa. During her six year tenure in public accounting, Lourdes' client base included companies in the manufacturing, energy, real estate, retail and health care industries. She accepted an accounting operations manager role with a local Fortune 500 Consumer Marketing Company charged with the responsibility of improving operational processes and leading a company-wide ERP Implementation. After four years and successful implementations, Lourdes then accepted a position as a Director to start up a business intelligence practice for a national consulting firm specializing in ERP implementations and best practices. During her four years with this consulting practice, she was promoted to Senior Director and was responsible for business development, recruiting and hiring, staff development and P&L management for a group of 35 consultants located throughout the country. Lourdes joined Taylor White in 2006 and has since applied her years of experience and consulting skills towards the permanent placement arena. She has her Bachelors of Science in Accounting from the University of South Florida, and is a licensed Florida CPA.
